Okay, I know the stats…85% of online bingo players are women.  Since we’re also out numbered at the bingo hall the Internet is a nice way of blending in.  That must be why there are more men playing bingo online vs. offline.  A whopping 15% of men make up the online bingo playing community.  Yes we’re still out numbered by women but hey I prefer to hang out at a bar were women out number men then the other way around so the same applies to bingo playing. 

Why don’t more men play bingo?
Although I haven’t done any scientific research into the matter (which is a good thing since I don’t know how to conduct a scientific study), I think the reason is obvious.  As men we’re brought up to be tough guys.  Most guys think bingo is for little old ladies.  A man should be playing poker puffing on a big fat cigar trying to lie and bluff your fellow players out of their money.  It is alpha male 101 and a big reason for the recent explosion of TV-Online poker.  Bingo on the other hand, is about having fun with friends and strangers in a more civil manner.  Everyone has a chance at winning and you don’t have to bluff your friends with a good poker face to win (although being quick filling up that bingo card helps!).  Bingo appeals to everyone not just high testosterone males.  Yes, little old ladies play bingo but so do many others.  Bingo has no boundaries and its appeal is universal.  Check out the bingo chat room of most online bingo sites and you’ll see the eclectic and diverse mix of PEOPLE playing bingo.  Bantering back and forth between players as the excitement of that bingo card getting filled up increases, waiting for that number to be called!  That is why bingo appeals to all…little old ladies and yes, bingo guys!  You can find where to play by visiting our topsite directory-Bingo Passport!
